Gunmetal Grey BNR32

One of my favorite car of all time ever since I heard of the word 'skyline' especially the ones with GTR emblem with the letter R in blood red color at the back of the car. No one will make a mistake for its twin circular tail lights identity.

Apparently, for this particular BNR32 shown here is no longer a stock standard GTR. It is visible that the standard front seats has been replaced with Recaro's. Also, the standard 16" wheels has been replaced with a bigger and wider 17" wheels which I am not known of the make and the type. Perfect stance.

Its the winter season this year again and this S14 looks like its ready for the cold winter. S14 dont look any better than this. Fitted with wide Volk TE37 all round. Perhaps a more subtle and bold bodykit would make this car stands out more. Loving the midnight purple tone.

"JDM GVS" Kouki 180SX

This is an entry about one clean Kouki 180SX as seen in a video from Youtube in my previous entry. Click here if you havent seen the video. The video is created by Light and Logic based in Canada. It is properly made and worth the time watching it. Shot using Canon 5D.

The car started as a flaming red 180SX with Kouki kit all round and when the owner decided to give it a new color, the car's life changed. The Kouki kit however, isn't one of the items that the owner wanted to changed. To me, Kouki is a very well made 180SX made from factory. He made a good choice not swapping the kit. The engine of this 180SX is a SR20DET with a Garrett GT2860 turbo hanging onto Tomei Expreme exhaust manifold which is easily achievable and good for a healthy 300HP at the wheels. The downpipe is made by Circuit Sports which is looks really good with a rectangular with round edge shape. The exhaust gases is flowed through a CAT and ends with an Apexi N1 Titanium exhaust.

The boosted air is routed to the front mounted intercooler to get the boosted air cooled down a few degrees before entering an enlarged throttle body from a Nissan Pulsar N15. The throttle body is a 70mm diameter compared to a standard stock 60mm unit. The throttle body is fitted to a GReddy intake manifold. When the butterfly valve is closed, the excess boost is vented to the atmosphere via Synapse blow off valve. Koyo aluminum radiator keeps everything in a good operating temperature.

When you have a fast car, you need to make sure it comes to a stop in time. A light weight brake kit from Project Mu replaces the fronts. If you couldn't see a bright green (trademark color for Project Mu) through the spokes of the front wheels, it is because the owner had it anodised to a more appealing red.

Now, the story of the wheels of this car. Before this kouki is fitted with this lovely SSR SP1, it had gone through 3 different sets of wheels. The first was a Work Meister S1 and then the owner swapped it to a Volk TE37 in white. Later, a set of Rays Time Attack 57 Optimise replaces the TE's. And now, the SSR SP1 fills all four corner nicely. The fronts are 18" with 9" wide while the rears are 10"wide. Offsets of the wheels are unknown. But all in all, this car looks stunning! Everything he did to the car is just mouthwatering.

Tommy Kaira GTR R35

Earlier this year in Tokyo Auto Salon 2010, Tommy Kaira has debuted their full GTR R35 aero kit. The kit comprises of a new full front bumper, side skirts, rear under diffuser and new rear spoiler. The front bumper has a redone center grille, side ducts and integrated chin spoiler.

Also notice that the rear fender wheel well extension kit that extends the wide rear ends another 20mm on each side which are made of carbon fibre. The new bold side skirts give the GTR a lowered look and it blends nicely with the rear fender wheel well extension kit.

The rear spoiler is also enhanced with its center flap made of carbon fibre and increased height over standard's height. Note that the absent of rear third brake light.

Looking from the back of the car, the rear diffuser is very much different from a stock unit. Tommy Kaira designed the rear diffuser to be much bolder and wider than the standard rear diffuser.

Other little things that makes this Tommy Kaira R35 to look different from other R35 are like the carbon fibre door handles, trunk lip spoiler and front fender intake grille made of carbon fibre. In the performance department, a set of suspension made by Quantum for Tommy Kaira and also a Mono-6 brake kit made by Endless comprises of front and rear set replacement available for customers.
